Next Canada is a modelling agency that represents talent across multiple geographical locations. We take privacy seriously and take all measures to keep your information secure.

We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Our Privacy Policy contains important information on who we are, how and why we collect, store, use and share your personal information, your rights in relation to your personal information and how to contact us.

By providing us with personal information, using our services or by communicating with us, you agree to the processing of your personal information as set forth in this Policy, and you authorize Next Canada, its third parties and service providers to process your personal information for the purposes set forth below.

This Policy relates to your use of our website at https://www.nextmodels.ca/ (the “Website”) , the collection and processing of personal information on our Website as well as the collection and processing of any personal information you provide us, whether electronically or not, in the course of our business or in order for us to provide you with our services.   

Our website may contain links to third party websites. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements and processing of personal information. When you leave our website, we encourage you to read the privacy statement of every website you visit.

What Information Do We Collect?

Our systems host talent information provided to us by you (the talent) or your authorized representative (a talent representative). If you are a talent representative providing us personal information on a talent, you must obtain the talent’s consent before providing such information to us. 

We collect certain personal information about you when you use our website, when we provide our services and when you interact with us. Some of this personal information is collected directly, such as when you contact us or register with us or subscribe to our publications, and some is collected indirectly, such as your browsing activity while on our website (see ‘Cookies’ below).

Information that may be collected includes, but is not limited to:

  • Information related to your identity, such as your name (real or alias), date of birth, full addresses and location(s) of residency, social handles, your status in Canada and your ID. 
  • Your contact information, such as your email address and phone number, as well as your representatives’ contact information. 
  • Information related to your body dimensions and physical characteristics, such as your height, your weight, your talent portfolio and your pictures.

We may also collect your pictures, whether they are submitted by you, your talent representative or publicly available.  

This information about you is collected electronically directly from you or your talent representative, with your consent.  We may also collect information about you from clients or vendors in the course of our business and proving our services, or in publicly available media (electronic or print).  

How And Why Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We will use your information for the purpose of legitimate interests being pursued by us in relation to the services and products that we provide. For example, we will use your information:

  • To provide the services you have requested, 
  • To discover, source, engage, develop, grow, promote, and retain talent, opportunities (including receiving applications, castings, bookings, promotions) and placements, 
  • To manage talent, placements, bookings, including without limitation, travel and accommodations, wardrobe, fitness, comp cards, etc.,
  • For marketing and promotion of talents, clients, and our services, 
  • To better understand our talents and clients’ needs, and to better develop our services,
  • To respond to any questions or concerns you have raised; 
  • For the operation and improvement of our Website; 
  • To deal with administrative matters such as contacting you for business purposes; and operating our business.
  • to prevent fraud,
  • for any other compatible secondary purpose, and
  • for other purposes, with your consent or in accordance with applicable laws. 

We may also provide marketing information to you in relation to our products where you have given your consent. To withdraw your consent, you can contact us as provided in the “Contacting Us” section below or using the “unsubscribe” option in communications sent to you.

We may also use your information in order to comply with any legal obligation that we have, in connection with any legal proceedings, or in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights.

Who Do We Share Your Information With?

Your information will be shared internally amongst our staff, on a need-to-know basis in line with the purposes set out above. We will need to share your personal information with others from time to time, including: 

  • our clients to source new jobs or bookings, to book jobs and to collect content for potential bookings or opportunities, and for national and international placements and bookings;
  • other agencies or representatives that provide management services to you, including national and international placements and bookings,
  • our partners and vendors to manage and book travel, accommodation, wardrobe, fitness, and other complimentary services that could be required for an opportunity or a booking,
  • on our Website to promote you,
  • professional advisers, such as our accounting and legal advisers where they require that information in order to provide advice to us;
  • if we are required to do so by law or to a law enforcement agency;
  • if another entity acquires us or our assets, your information may be disclosed to that entity as part of the due diligence process and, if the acquisition goes ahead, your information will be transferred to that entity; and
